Farmanco Consultants and Rural Directions Pty Ltd with the support of Central West Farming Systems and FarmLink will deliver a series of half day workshops for business owners and managers keen to spend time ‘working on the business’.

“Business management and people are two of the key profit drivers for farming businesses,” said Natasha Searle, an Agribusiness Consultant from Rural Directions Pty Ltd, and based at Dubbo.

“During this workshop, we will focus on the role of culture, strategic and business planning and developing high performance teams through effective leadership and communication.”

“Key governance principles, business systems and processes will also be introduced to demonstrate the value of transparent and consistent business management approaches,” she

said.

Eric Nankivell, a Farm Management consultant from Farmanco Consultants and, based in the Riverina, will cover enterprise and business performance and the role of benchmarking to improve

profit.

“There is immense value in farmers measuring business performance, and using that information to assist in early identification of strengths and weaknesses; as a result, allowing businesses to

pursue opportunities and manage risks,” said Eric.

Registration is now open for five half-day workshops to be delivered during September. The workshops are scheduled at Tottenham, Condobolin, Weethalle, Temora and Narrandera and are

open to all farming business partners.

These workshops are also approved through the Farm Business Skills Professional Development Program, via NSW DPI Rural Assistance Authority. As a result, approved participants can claim

reimbursement up to 50% of eligible costs (including childcare and travel) upon completion.

The workshops will be delivered by consultants Natasha Searle (Rural Directions Pty Ltd) and Eric Nankivell (Farmanco Consultants).
