CWFS Organised Event to Celebrate Women’s Week 2020 a Huge Success

CWFS organised an event on Wednesday 4th March to celebrate Women's Week 2020CWFS organised an event on Wednesday 4th March to celebrate Women’s Week 2020.  The event was held at the CWFS Fettell Centre Condobolin, Central West NSW and celebrated “Women of the West”.

The celebration attracted 40 women to hear wonderful presenters speak about financial agency and security, health and wellbeing as well as encouraging involvement and engagement within the local community.  The presenters were

Sarah Curry – Farmer, agronomist, mother, entrepreneur and gardener.  Sarah has a passion for the land and has developed an innovative mulch product “Majors Mulch” that has won several awards and acclaim for environmental sustainability and innovation.

Frances Colless – a local farmer, businesswoman, wealth creator and enthusiastic supporter of women in the local community and mentor to many.

Pip Brett – Pip Brett is the creative mind behind popular homewares store ‘Jumbled’ and clothing store ‘Iglou’, located in the Sonic building in Orange.  Pip also has a huge online following on Instagram of approximately 96,000.

Anne Christie – Condobolin Community Health Service. Anne is a dietitian and moved to Condobolin last year to join the team at the Condobolin Community Health Service.

Lisa McFadyen – Lisa has been appointed the Rural Support Worker to ensure farmers across the Central West have access to support services, information and development opportunities, as well as drought and emergency preparedness and recovery tools.

The networking opportunities proved very successful and many women have asked to be included in any future events.
