MLA Alternative Pasture Legume Options in Central West NSW – Podcast Now Available

Have you ever wondered what kinds of alternative legume forage options might be out there to support your red meat production?

Funded by Meat and Livestock Australia (MLA), the Central West Farming System’s (CWFS) Producer Demonstration Site Program is aiming to increase knowledge and adoption of alternative annual forage legume options available to meat producers in the low rainfall zone (LRZ) of central west NSW. These legumes have not been traditionally used, but by showing they can be easily integrated into existing mixed farming operations to assist in meat production and adaptation to climate variability, the project offers immense value to livestock producers. Join CWFS Communications Manager, Lucy Kirk, in a conversation with Wendy Gill of Achieve Ag Consultancy, as they discuss some of the promising results from this three year trial.
