Regional Development Australia Central West visit to CWFS and The Fettell Centre

Regional Development Australia Central West (RDA CW) visited Condobolin on 13 August 2020 to hold its 51st Board meeting at the NSW DPI Ag Station. CWFS CEO, Diana Fear, is a member of the Board and believes that encouraging strong regional economies through business development, tourism and educational initiatives is vital to sustain communities in the bush.

RDA CW works hard to encourage innovative thinking and strong partnerships with government, industry and community to achieve the region’s vision and economic potential. After the meeting, the Board toured CWFS’ The Fettell Centre to see the trial work and activities CWFS is currently undertaking at the site. The Fettell Centre is a great asset for the Central West with a 120 hectare irrigation facility including a multipurpose, field-based laboratory based at Condobolin. Facilities, like The Fettell Centre, are key resources for rural communities and provide economic and educational opportunities both locally and further afield.

The RDA CW Board very much enjoyed visiting Condobolin and look forward to visiting again.
