🎧 De-Risking the Seeding Program – Winter update

The desire to improve education surrounding dry sowing has seen the conception of the ‘De-risking the seeding program’ project. CWFS will be one of 15 farming system groups involved with the project, which is supported by Ag Excellence Alliance, through funding from the Australian Government’s Future Drought Fund. The aim of this project is to deliver a program that accelerates the adoption of strategic dry and early sowing crop management strategies.

This project is funded by the , led by , in partnership with the following groups – Agriculture Innovation and Research Eyre Peninsula, Upper North Farming Systems, Northern Sustainable Soils, Murray Plains Farmers, Hart Field Site Group, Mallee Sustainable Farming, Birchip Cropping Group, Farmlink, Riverine Plains, Southern Growers, Central West Farming Systems, Irrigation Farmers Network, Facey Group, Corrigin Farm Improvement Group, South Australian Research and Development Institute (SARDI), South Australian Drought Resilience Adoption and Innovation Hub, Victorian Drought Resilience Adoption and Innovation Hub, Southern NSW Drought Resilience Adoption and Innovation Hub, Southwest WA Drought Resilience Adoption and Innovation Hub.

Cristy's unique career has taken her from country NSW to the city lights of Clarendon Street South Melbourne and back again. With an early career in radio as a copywriter and creative strategist, she is now a Jill of all trades as a graphic designer, website builder, blog writer, video editor, social media manager, marketing strategist and more.

Cristy has won two Australian Commercial Radio Awards (ACRAs) for Best Ad and Best Sales Promotion, and even has an 'Employee of the Year' certificate with her name on it.

Cristy and her husband James have traveled extensively through Russia, China and South East Asia, and have two fur-babies, Sooty (cat) and Panda (puppy). Cristy loves drinking coffee, meeting people to drink coffee, coffee tasting and coffee flavoured cocktails. She also enjoys road trips, TED Talks and watching cat videos on youtube.
